Snow makes us (un)human
Last night it snowed. A lot. And to my surprise this morning I noticed outside two kinds of people: the unlikely heroes, and the others.
Those that were supposed to give a hand were nowhere to be seen, while help came from unexpected individuals.
And I remembered the book “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frankl, where he noted that under extreme conditions, this exact behavioral pattern emerges. On a much smaller scale of course.
And sometimes help comes from unexpected places, so faith is restored
