Phantom Petition on Our Dime
I got home that evening to find two District 1 community police officers in the lobby of my building, holding signature sheets and flyers.
They tried to persuade me to sign a petition launched by the District 1 mayor, saying I agreed that 75 million dollars(?!) should be spent on “me” and renovating the district’s apartment buildings instead of being given to an ANL project.
“You voted against the real estate sharks… Now the left-wing coalition on the Bucharest General Council is trying to force District 1 City Hall to invest $75 million in utilities for the ANL villa development… With this money we can insulate 200 apartment buildings… we could build some of the 12 underground parking garages…”
I’ll stop here before I throw up.
I didn’t sign, because I don’t like being used as a mayor’s political pawn.
A few observations:

Community police officers were used for a personal agenda that sounds like political score-settling to me;

The scrap of paper listed a website that doesn’t work (primariasector1.ro/petitie);

Is my building really going to be renovated? If so, why not pay for it with the money spent on the campaign against ANL?

I’m disgusted. Again.
Note: I used to like this mayor…

foarte bine ca nu ai iscalit! voi alegeti niste primari, ca sa isi faca treaba, nu sa vina cu hirtii tot la voi, cu ce sa faca!! de ce i-ati mai pus in fruntea primariei, ca sa nu stie ce au de facut? ca sa faca treaba aia lui Caragiale cu box populi?? pai box populi a fost , cind au fost alesi!

Cel mai naspa mi se pare ca primarul a trimis politisti. Ca sa impresioneaze, sau ce? Ca ilegal este oricum…

Am primit si eu petitia de care vorbiti. Am mai vazut ca intr-un loc vorbea de 75 milioane de DOLARI si cu cateva randuri mai jos erau deja 75 milioane de EURO :-)). Cred ca era facuta cam pe genunchi, oricum. NU am semnat asa ceva.

blocul in care locuiesc este pe lista celor care trebuie reabilitate, inca de anul trecut. in capmanie ni s-a promis ca reabilitarea incepe in martie anul acesta (2009), suntem deja in mai si nu se misca nimic, asta in conditiile in care s-a comunicat administratiei blocului ca actele sunt gata, ca banii exista……bla, bla, bla. cand va incepe reabilitarea ? la sfarsitul mandatului ? este in stare Chiliman sa se tina de cuvant ? de petitii sunt satula, vreau fapte si mai ales respectarea promisiunilor, ca pe promisiuni a fost reales !!!!!!!
