Ads Are Bad for You
Sometimes, anyway. Like this morning. I was listening to EuropaFM, happily tuning out the ads as usual, when some guy started talking and making noises like a little frog. I haven’t heard anything that annoying in a very long time. My reaction? I changed the station instantly.
I don’t blame the radio station—quite the opposite, I feel sorry for them for losing a listener, at least this morning. I blame the people who approved an ad like that. I’m sure it’s generally annoying; it’s not just me being overly sensitive. And yet someone thought it was brilliant. The result? I will never, ever buy that product, and EuropaFM lost a listener. At a key time of day for them.
Is there anyone in Romania who regulates just how much an ad broadcast on the radio is allowed to get on your nerves? Or the way it automatically switches to a mode that blows out your speakers and changes the frequency (see here)? Unfortunately not. That leaves us with just one option: change the station or switch to CD/mp3.

In altele chiar auzi sau vezi reclame faine:)
