Why AGI and superintelligence risks matter

Of course, one would rather focus on the 90% chance we’ll live long enough to reap the fruits of this AI spring.

However, it puzzles me why people don’t take the threat of AGI and superintelligence more seriously.

Are we doing enough to address these risks?
