The Sound in Romanian Movies
I have all the patience and goodwill in the world when it comes to watching Romanian movies. Any Romanian movie. But I’d need subtitles. I honestly can’t understand half of what’s being said, even though it’s my native language.
I asked a few friends who work in the industry what they thought about this problem, and I came to one conclusion. Just as Romanian actors’ film performances still have that whiff of agitprop theater about them, the sound must be deliberately recorded badly too. Otherwise, I can’t imagine why, in 2008, with today’s equipment and all the money spent on audio post-production, you still can’t make out what the actors are mumbling…

Ai pus degetul pe rana, cum se zice. Asta e si marea mea problema, de cand ma stiu, ca nu inteleg ce se spune in filmele romanesti. Am revazut chiar acum o inregistrare tv (pe TVR 1) cu “Visul unei nopti de iarna”, unde sunetul era la pamant. Deci, si la tv e la fel. Punand in paralela de ex. sunetul filmului Prison Breack pe care l-am vazut noi doi aseara, iti dai seama ca ingineria sunetului de calitate e departeee-departeee de plaiurile noastre ;)
Avantaj eu!Nu ma mai uit la filmele romanesti,tocmai din cauza sonorului.Aproape toate replicile,indiferent de subiectul filmului,sunt rostite rapid,pe un ton agresiv,fie ca e sau nu cazul.
tu ai atacat o problema , care pe mine ma preocupa de multa vreme, cu adevarat nu se intelege mai nimic. Fenomenul l-am constatat si aici. In mod ciudat, cind sint filme nemtesti, se intelege destul de greu, culmea, cind sint filme straine si vorbite tot in germana, ca aici se traduce totul, se intelege perfect, au o dictie de admirat! de ce?
despre filmele vechi romanesti e adevarat, ca eu numai din astea prind pe tvr internatzional si culmea, chiar ma uit cu placere la ele, facand abstractzie de neplacerea provocata de acest inconvenient tehnic.insa la filmele mai noi, care au cam tot luat premii la cannes, in ultima vreme, s-a mai reglat putzin problema;-)
